About the Innkeepers
Tim is originally from Rocky Hill, Connecticut. He moved to Cherry Hill, New Jersey as a teenager. Tim is best described as creative and adventurous. He graduated from Rowan University in New Jersey and soon after moved to New York City for a few years designing and rigging computerized lighting for concerts and events. Eventually, Tim returned to Cherry Hill to be closer to family. Being from a family of police officers, he headed off to the NJ State Police Academy where he graduated at the top of his class. Tim worked as a Police Officer for the Township of Cherry Hill for 5 years. During that time the Chief realized Tim’s love for computers early on and assigned him to design a wireless network for the Police Department. After 5 years Tim was asked by the Mayor of Cherry Hill to work for the Township of Cherry Hill as the Chief Information Officer, he left that position in December of 2007 to work full time at the Inn.
Amy grew up in Palmyra, New Jersey and graduated from Beaver College (now know as Arcadia University) with a degree in Health Care Administration. Amy is best described as organized and dedicated. She worked her way through college by filling several different positions in various restaurants from hostess to server and even a cook. After college she began working for a national assisted living company where she spent seven years working her way up the corporate ladder. She was ultimately named Regional Director of Operations for the East Coast, a job that involved weekly overnight travel.
In an effort to spend more time together and do what they loved, Tim and Amy found themselves seeking the perfect B&B that they could run together. We found that at Forty Putney Road Bed & Breakfast! Together Tim and Amy enjoy taking a bike ride, playing golf and traveling. Their travel is usually based on their favorite things to do. Tim is certified to scuba dive, so that took them to Australia, Hawaii, New Zealand and Fiji. Together they are passionate about craft and micro brewed beer, which made Belgium a must and Oktoberfest in Germany next on the list. They also enjoy fine wines, which led them to France, Australia and New Zealand. Amy enjoys scrapbooking and gardening in her free time. Tim enjoys remodeling homes, photography and fine Scotch and Whiskey.
Timberly is the creative force behind a lot of the new room styles of our inn. A graduate of SCAD in Savannah Georgia, she has worked on many design projects and currently is starting up an inn design service called InnTeriors. At the inn, she helps us out as an awesome innkeeper and bartender extraordinaire.
Doug can be found behind the scenes here making breakfast (including the worlds largest omlettes) as well as tending to the beer tastings and the pub. And for good reason. When he's not at the inn, Doug is the head brewer at McNeills, Brattleboro's own craft brewery. You can sample some of his work in our pub, or of course downtown at McNeills Pub. Doug has a passion for the outdoors and chances are that if it happens outside, Doug's a master of it. From kayaking and canoeing to ice fishing - if you've got an outdoorsy question - Dougs your guy.
Dave and Jane After following careers in corporate middle management,( He a Production/Inventory Control Mgr and she an Accounting Mgr) both Dave & Jane decided a change of pace was in order. In the mid 80's they decided to quit the rat race and opened their own small B&B in Vermont.
After 11 years as innkeepers they again changed gears and sold their B&B. Knowing that a need existed for innkeepers to recharge themselves and attend to other family matters during the year, they began a new business enterprise called Innsitters of New England. Their love of the hospitality end of running an Inn or B&B, along with Jane's love of cooking was a great match for being an innsitter.
Jane enjoys reading, cooking and painting while Dave enjoys fishing, kayaking, and computers. They currently reside in Onset,Ma where they enjoy being with their children and grandchildren..
